For the South Texas Judo project, I was hired to capture photos and video during a two-hour event at their gym. Using my Sony a7C II along with Sigma and Sony prime lenses, I focused on getting clean shots while learning the flow of judo on the spot since it was my first time covering the sport. The biggest challenge was timing—it happened during a UIW track meet, so I had to rush between both events and unfortunately missed a school record. Despite the delay in delivery due to a packed schedule, I communicated with the gym owner and he was very understanding. The yellow mats affected the photo colors a bit, but overall, he loved the work and reached out about future collaborations.
